Anything that sounds like you've made it up or looks like you've misspelt it will make the child sound like trailer trash. Somebody on an earlier post said to think about how a name would sound with Doctor or President in front of it - Dr. Princess sounds daft, as does President Dwayne. My Grandma's always said it's better to have a child with a man's name than a man with a child's name - ifor example if you think Jamie's cute for a little boy, remember that little boy will be a man one day, so for goodness sake name him James!

I hate frumpy sounding names, like Flo, Maude, Gertrude, Boris etc. I also hate it when people put a J' in front of normal names, for example J'Adam, or weird names like Apple. I also laugh when I see names that people have twisted, changing S for Z or adding an extra i.
I prefer names that are not all that common, but not ridiculous, I like Darcy (not common in the UK) and I also love Jemima, but I named my cat that! Things like Skyler, Brayden, Storm etc are just awful.

I prefer more traditional names (the "unique" ones stand out way too mcuh and the kids end up being cannon fodder for their classmates).
I like Jameson, James, Steven, William, Zachary, Daniel
For girls: Grace, Vivian, Jennifer, Sarah, Lily (maybe as a middle name), Elizabeth

I am 22 and my parents named me Xylia (like Celia with an X in front) I loved it forever it fits me perfect but later hated that EVERYONE REMEMBERS THAT NAME IT'S LIKE I CANNOT BE FORGOTTEN!!! Being remembered is not always good. With no middle name to falll back on I use Ailyx which is my name backwards. But aside from that other people love it!!!

I like the name Jadelynne, I am haveing a daughter and decided to name her that after picking over that one and Natalia,Faith, and Anarica. ITS SO HARD TO DECIDE. So her name will be Jadelynne Kay. I added Lynne to the end because it is my mother in laws name and I thought Jade needed a bit more to it :) And Kay comes after my grandmothers name who I adore.
If I was haveing a boy I was going to go with Sage, or Addrienne. Different? :)
As for names I dont like....Jessica,Amanda...the originals like most...boy names I dont like..Connor..(too common for new babys now) or Aiden (I hear that a lot now too) If you are having a baby congrats and good luck picking out a name!

Aiden, Braden, Jaden, Caden, Haden
McKenzie, McKenna, Cheyenne, Madison, Alexa, Jade
Anything with unnecessary letters and unbelievable spellings (i.e. Amanda is not Aimaynduh)
Remember, babies turn into adults, and have to deal with these names in the real world. Names that are cute on a 2-year-old are not necessarily cute on a 22-year-old.
