The song is a classic example of someone taking an incident or event and writing a song on it. That in itself does not take talent, but to write a decent song under such circumstances speaks volumes about the artist. Not only are the lyrics of the song a high quality, but it is an attempt to clear the air which apparently the whole of america are too stupid or perhaps naive to understand. I mean, it was only words.

It is indeed a sad sad story when a mother will teach her daughter that she oughta hate a perfect stranger. Brilliant choice of lyric.

I think the song has been too overplayed, but i have heard other tracks off the album and the one that gives me goosebumps is the long way around. I don't know if they've released a second single yet, at least not here in Australia where i am. But I'm hoping this will be it. There's nothing gay about being able to appreciate good music.

How can you chose the Dixie Chicks over that nice Mr. Bush?

(snigger!) Sounds like your head's screwed on good and tight! Keep on listening!

That doesn’t make you gay. Music is naught but opinion. What sounds good to someone may sound like to crap to someone else.

There is no good or bad music.

Ok...You are Gay, and you are un-American.
Although I'm not a fan of their music, I'd do them anyway.
So, call me a Lesbian.

I don't care much for the song itself, but for their acts & words & beliefs, they have my utmost respect. He is the worst embarrassment to this country ever.

There's no question they would get f***ed up their little blonde a**es, but you're talking about their music, not their looks, so I would say yes, you are probably gay.
