most men are not affectionate, I happen to be on the other extreme and love cuddling.
you put love in quotation, so is there some doubt? ask a friend what they see, or try to see what is going on between you from an outside perspective. I wouldn't say be concerned because most guys are like that unless they are infatuated.

Ask him what is his definition of love. If none of it involves wanting you to be happy, then he's either immature, or using you.

you might be thinking of his action in a negative way but he probably feels safe and secure and don't need constant reassurrance's.
