A lot of Armenians never talk to, much less, hang out with people of different races. They are always speaking in Armenian and rarely in English. Even the ones born here speak English with a heavy accent. Whenever I approach one to speak to them, they are usually friendly and nice; so I don't see why others wouldn't want to hang out with them. Someone please explain, thank you.

i live in North Jersey, and Armenians are beautiful people. they don't do anything differently when compared to Latino, Asian, Black, Muslim, Jewish people?

if you're of a different ethnic background, you naturally gravitate towards members of the same background, as a way of preserving your heritage. you have the same ideas in common, you fit in well with each other's families, you speak the same language, you go to the same church/mosque/temple etc. etc.

there aren't that many Little Armenia's in the States, so i would imagine Armenians do what any ethnic group does, try and preserve their culture as best they can. it's not a matter of exclusion.

its not just armenians its every imigrant group that moves to a new area.
they leave behind alot and the the 1st generation in what ever country has to adopt a blend of ideas together to make sense of things in order to make a living.
they often have ancestoral beliefs and language barriers to over come(well not overcome but to accept themselves) and like any one else they feel this sets them apart
so wether u are korean vietnamese armenian croatian blah blah blah you can still feel as an outsider and as human nature shows we tend to stick to our "own" as its familiar and gives a sense of comfort. but i would guess the biggest fear of an imigrant group is fear of not be understood, being made fun of or just flat out fear of blind hated.
