You can use BCWipe to delete any traces of files which you do not want to recover. BCWipe will overwrite the deleted files' clusters with random binary information thus render the information unretrievable.
Infomation:
When a file is deleted from your computer, its contents aren’t immediately destroyed. Windows simply marks the hard drive space as being available for use by changing one character in the file table so that the file entry won’t be displayed in My Computer or a commandline DIR command, etc. If you manage to start an undeletion process before Windows uses that part of the hard drive to write a new file, all you have to do is set that flag back to “on,” and you get the file.

When you delete a file all that happens is the name assotiated with that file is erased. The file is still on your hard drive until windows(or what ever OS you have)over writes that sectore where the files is stored. The only way to truly render this file useless whe you delete is to use a wipe utility. In linux(Debian based) you would type apt-get install wipe at the command promt in the shell. If your running windows just go to sites like zdnet.com or cnet.com they have a download section that has a ton of utils

You can send files to the recycle bin by selecting the file in Windows Explorer and pressing he Delete key. If you hold the Shift key while pressing Delete, the file is permanently deleted (like Delete + emptying the recycle bin).

the truth is you can't, even if you put the file into the bin, it will be recognizable on your hardware and occupy space, so if you have sensible data on your pc never ever sell your computer without formatting the hardware newly
