When they are willing to do anything for you (within reasonable limits).
I have a boyfriend of almost a year that I am completely in love with. We talk about marriage and how I want to wait till our wedding day to have sex. He truly does love me... he respects me. That's when you KNOW you have a great guy. That's when you KNOW he's in love with you... when he has absolutely no problem in waiting. Actions speak louder than words...

True love is equal to total sacrifice. So wen a person is ready to sacrifice all for another person than and only then you can say that is love there. Now to find-out if there is or not any love you can do like this: i presume that this question is because you are not sure if he loves you. So do like this ask him to do something that he doesn't like and see how much time will pass until he will do it. Then wen he is just ready to do that thing stop him and tell him it was a test of sacrifice for the one he loves so wen he do it without questions and regret then and only then you found true love. You know people think allot that they are in-love that they found true love but wen a question like this arise like* do this for me * most of them wont do it so ask yourself why because their love was an illusion. This is one of the secrets of the life the pure love but only few know to handle this secret is more dangerous than a death. So guard this information for yourself people are not worthy of it. Like I tell my daughter... Imagine you at your worst... The worst you've ever been, even in private. Irrational, screaming, jealous... whatever. Imagine doing this first thing in the morning before brushing your hair or teeth. Now imagine doing that in front of the guy that you think you love.
If your guy would put his arm around you and let you be a nutcase, he loves you. If he would scream and run, he doesn't.
