A few waterparks were sold, as well as Frontier City in Oklahoma. These parks are just under new owenership. Magic Mountain in California was rumored to be one of the parks for sale, but that park will be open and ready for business for the 2007 season.

Some are shutting down and some are not. I saw it on the news last week. The one in California--just north of Los angeles in the hills is to remain open! That is the only one I remember.

None of them are closing. Some got sold. Search "Six Flags" in Yahoo! news. This is only the millionth of 999,999 other times someone has asked this.
