Go to this site and click on the links button. I t will load several places to download objects, funiture, floors, walls, ect.. Make sure you select place that only The Sims and not the Sims2 Be sure to click on Crystal Clear Sims you will find it on the link page I know it has some nice stuff.

You need to buy the expansion packs if you want new items. There are several expansions out. I'll try to name them, but I know I'll miss some. Anyway they are: Livin' Large, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation, Pets (might have the wrong name), and Makin' Magic. Try walmart, or best buy, or ask some friends who play it.
Sims 1 is done for. The developers have moved on and there won't be anymore new items from them, although you might find a couple of websites that still make things, but mostly those are recolored objects that are already in the game.
