You have to many dates here. Where did the 1990 and 1991 come from? Are they on the coin , if so it is then a medal of some kind. Going through the cataloges I find no coins with a 1899 date, except for a gold one that was dated wrong. The last silver coins are dated 1897. There are no 1899 silver or copper coins. You must have a medal of some kind.

You have a silver coin from the Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek (ZAR), or South African Republic, an independent Afrikaner/Boer country in southern Africa during the second half of the 19th century. The Obverse features Paul Kruger, who was a prominent Boer resistance leader against British rule and 5th president of ZAR from 1883-1902. Silver coins of ZAR were struck in sterling silver, a 92.5% silver fineness, and your coin is either the 2 1/2 shillings(half crown) or the 5 shillings(crown) because these are the only 2 denominations in silver with the word "Afrikaansche" spelled in full. The half crown was minted from 1892-1897, and the crown in 1892 only.

Hmm ... that is political in nature, and I used to be informed to avoid these things. I beg to range, however we will see ... THAT BEING SAID: On a metaphorical notice - It does look persons hold seeking to get the facet of the coin they wish. Try and take a look at rather of simply preserving what you get the primary time. Sometimes it is simply bigger to roll the cube, hold what you get and make the first-rate of it. EDIT: My apologies. Everything is political or devout to me at present - tooo many conversations.
