There are only 7 continents at most; fewer if you count Europe, Asia and Africa as the same land mass, and fewer still if you count N&S America as the same landmass, as they were before the Panama Canal. When sea levels were lower, Asia was joined to the Americas. Is Aussie a continent or a big island? To answer your question, all this small number of continents are different, so all are unique. But Africa is unusual in that it's mostly a plateau. It's mostly high above sea level.

Ask an African like myself. To the North of Africa is very dry with the largest desert in the world. The Nile river runs to the east through the desert.
Some other rivers in North Africa is the Senegal river to the West and the Niger river running south through Nigeria. A large lake to in this area is Lake Chad.
Central Africa varies from dense rain forests, large grass plains, the Rift plane with, large rivers (Congo river, ) and lakes. The biggest ones are Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika, and Lake Malawi. Africa's highest mountain Kilimanjaro has a permanent icecap (do not know for how long due to global warming). Central Africa is also very hot humid with a tropical climate.
Southern Africa is semi arid with large the Namib desert to to the west and bush land and grassland and grass plains to the middle of Southern Africa. The eastern side of Southern Africa is also tropical with Mountains (Drakensberg one of the largest) The largest rivers are the Zambezi, Limpopo, Fish and the Orange rivers. In the southern part of Namibia is also the second largest canyon (apparently) in the world called the Fish river Canyon. Some lakes of note are the Lake Kariba as well as Lake Cahora Bassa (not really a lake but big enough).
I do not know if the makes it unique but I hope this helps!

There was a time when Africa was beautiful and was a gem in the eye of the world. That was before the Europeans and others came and raped her of all her resources. What is left is a shell of Africa's greatness.
