Death isn't necessarily what makes love stories great. Some love stories are great if people live happily ever after, which is the main concept Disney relies on. However, death makes love stories (or most other stories, for that matter) more impactful. For example, if the most idealized emotion in the world is followed by the most realistic event (death), it leaves a different impact with the audience. You can choose to love. You don't choose to die. The fact that one who unconditionally gives his heart to someone besides himself has no real advantage or difference over a selfish miser in terms of life and death, is what makes these stories impactful.

To make people realize that death with love in your heart is the sweetest way to get rid of this wolrd.
Although there's one Mirza's love story in which only Mirza died while the lady survived. She survived to bear the pain of seeing her beloved die in front of her own eyes. She actually betrayed Mirza and became the reason for her death. A unique love story isn't it. Let me tell you another unique thing about it... This is the only love story in which the couple in love actually got involved in sex with each other...

Ur knowledge is restricted to the famous stories n that too just bcoz they died bfor getting thier love but my frnd there have been countless personalities who got thier love n u dont know about them bcoz they didn't have time to tell others that they r living with thier love.
I agree true love is rare n to get it is even rarer but even though it happens. if we really want it n deserve for it, we get it.
