Not the Chinese, Kelly, or a COALITION of nasties. Let's try diplomacy a little while longer.

No despite the fact that we have the most capable Military on that has ever existed if you follow the US media they would leave you to believe we cannot win an insurgency war in a country like Iraq.
We cannot win despite the fact that we have a history if winning and in recent history defeated powerful enemies on both sides of the ocean, But we did not have the media to battle then so we probably would have lost.

People who have a black belt in karate are considered to be a dangerous weapon, and can actually be arrested for using their hands to kill someone. My point? True wisdom comes when you know you have the strength to hurt, but work twice as hard avoiding it. Also, just because we've got military might doesn't mean we're invincible. Sometimes our greatest enemy is ourselves. Rome used to be the world's capitol, many centuries ago. What brought down Rome? Itself. All it would take would be one country with nothing to lose and access to a nuclear weapon, and all the military might in the world wouldn't be able to stop the destruction. It's only by God's grace that our country has been as strong as it has been. It wouldn't take much to bring the world to its knees. <*)))><

I think we all realize this, but the probem of being one of the world super powers is that we have to play by the rules.
If the policy in Iraq was to shoot and kill any suspected terrorist right on the spot, or put these people on public television begging for their life before we chopped their heads off the war would be over and our troops would be home.
The problem is whats the worse that can happen if the US army captures a terrrorist? Hmm, he gets 3 meals per day, a clean prison cell and on top of that there are accomodations made for him based on his religion.
If the terrorists catch our troops, they put them on Television, torture them and eventually kill them.
When Saddam was in power people didn't stand up to him out of fear, people don't fear the US military. As long as they don't shoot, they know we will not shoot back!
The same holds true with any other army, or with countries like Iran or North Korea.

china may be more of a "draw" situation... just the manpower alone... it would be difficult for either to win an invasion over the other...
but other than that... you're pretty much correct...
everyone always "oohs" and "ahs" about the other side when we are going to war... I remember the big deal they made out of the "Iraqi Republican Guard" ... a hardened group of super commandos that we will surely have trouble with... everyone said...
I have more trouble getting peanut butter off the roof of my mouth than we had with the "Republican Guard"...
there is no one who we consider an "enemy" that could even make us sweat militarily... as far as nation to nation combat...
nation building is another issue... but that's another story...

ok lady, the U.S. is the most powerful force out there but, you got to give China some respect they can claim to have the most manpower(and they do), and Russia probably has the most nukes out there so they make my honorable mention list. im glad theyre not our enemies. as for iran, they're just enjoying their oil cash so let them and chavezo run their mouthes like they want, theyre just craving the attention. North Korea never said they wanted to fight the
U.S., or wipe israel off the map, they just wanted nukes, and now they have em(even though theyll never use em). but youre right, the U.S. has the most technologically advanced military.

about Iran...China gets alot of their oil there they also have defense treaties with Iran and Russia...China alone has about a billion people and nukes. as powerful as we are...we cant hope to beat, China, Russia, Iran, and the other muslim countries that are sure to jump in the fray Germany in ww2 made the exact same mistake with their "invincible" military. They thought they could beat russia, the USA and England...just substitute the names Russia, China and Iran. History does repeat, didnt someone say that those who dont learn the mistakes in it are doomed to repeat them?

We (USA) and other countries have the ability to destroy the world and have had for some time. Any war on a global scale is unthinkable and unforgivable.
