any tips on blocking penalty kicks my friend and a book said dat you should pick a side and dive wen u hear foot contact with the ball, but would'nt that look silly if u dive the wrong way.thaks

Risk is essential.
My 7 year old brother is a goalkeeper and a helluva good one too.He tells me that he first reads the expression on my face and then the shape of my foot when it hits the ball.(he always ends up saving the kicks and that pisses me OFF)
You should do the same.

If you stand in the middle of the goal, you look as though you haven't tried to save the ball, which then translates into you looking scared of the ball, which then translates into your opposition shooting more often as they try to exploit your lack of confidence
