I don't think it is. I think Southern California, especially the L.A. area is a real melting pot. You can find such a wide variety of cultures and all the wonderful things they offer. For the most part, differences are accepted and appreciated. Have you ever been there? I was also told that was voted as the world's melting pot.

I grew up in NYC back in the day when it was a melting pot and I felt lucky to have grown up there and had the chance to see and be a part of the greatest city ever. It's unfortunate if that is not the case today, but that may be due to higher cost of living and people are moving to other parts of the country that they can afford.

i'm hoping i will practice you something right here. initially: many each and every person is proud and egocentric (immigrants and non). they think of their artwork is greater significant than others' artwork, and that they (or a team they belong to) or greater significant or deserving than others or different communities. it incredibly is a organic tendency. attempt thinking relating to the successes of the melting pot. look on the races that, after being in u.s. for a technology or 2, ultimately despatched their young ones to faculties and even have respectful positions. look on the individuals who come right here for the yank dream, take English instructions just to get via, and artwork for easy pleasures and a destiny for his or her infants. Ever heard of cultural lag? human beings won't be in a position to adapt that straight away to new issues, yet did you already know that a million/3 of the U.S. is non-ecu yet approximately ninety 5-ninety six% communicate English properly, or okay? 80 two% are community English audio device. Welcome to the melting pot. "once you come again to u.s., you say you elect to be an American and abide via u.s. methods and regulations. Be American then." It looks such as you're seeing issues out of your attitude as a proud American. in case you knew no English nor American methods and have been searching for a land of threat it truly is respectful of different cultures, would not you anticipate to be allowed to prepare your lifestyle and your language in case you so elect without being discriminated against? It is going the two methods; and countless human beings are no longer very information, and countless of the immigrants are not the two. yet actually, the melting pot is a huge fulfillment.
