If marriage is a man made act, where did adultery come from? Adam and Eve were not marriage because there were no sins or people when they where created.

If chastity is more difficult keep nowadays, and I believe it is because the ability to procreate is achievable at a very young age. Can we say that the Bible did not see this coming?

Did Solomon have many wives?

Here's my opinion. A formal marriage is society's way of protecting pregnant women. When a woman gets pregnant she can't take care of herself as well as she could before pregnancy...and certainly after the child is born she has to care for the child. What better way to assure this protection than to socially tie her to the man who made her pregnant and fathered the child? This "tie" is called marriage, the invention of society to provide protection, ultimately, to children (which helps guarantee the survival of the human race). That's the historical approach and has pretty well worked up to the present, in all societies. Today we have the liberation of women and the ability for mothers to support themselves and their children without the presence of a man. This has allowed marriage to become looser. Again, my opinion.
