If you are achieving a greater good, then it is not wrong. For instance, you may hide news of someone's illness from their dear ones, but talk about it to unrelated people. But if you do it casually, without any good reason to do it, then it is wrong. Being consistent is often simpler, as you do not have to keep track of who knows what, or worry about two people talking among themselves to find that you were different with each of them.

i dont think so. i know i sure dont act the same around different groups of people. i think it just shows that you can be comfortable being appropriate in different social situations. something that is fine around our friends may not be ok in front of grandma or your college professor/boss. its kinda just the way things are.

i wouldn't classify this as wrong, its called being hypocritical or two faced which ever you per fer but sometimes it can be good acting one way with friends and one way with coworkers is a prime example
