The Second Amendment says Americans have the right to bear arms. Bare Arms...like a short sleeved shirt?

For the reason that when the constitution was drafted, it was a bunch of loose colonies who had to fend for themselves from the "savages" who was trying to do whatever they was trying to do. Bearing arms was needed because police and security was limited.
These days, cops are around, but you may still need arms to protect your own home from those guys who climb through your chimney 3 in the morning. I bet if a guy runs you into your room brandishing a machette and you have a gun....chances are you will pick that up and use it........Larry the Cable Guy would approve of guns

Yes. In Australia the summers are very hot. Long sleeves are quite uncomfortable. I also like to bare my arms because they are nicely toned

Yes, because of the Constitution, but you can't arm bears, those suckers get all drunk and start shooting up the State Park and stealing Pikanik Baskets.
