If you think it's because he is cheating you are probably right. Unless there is ahistory of mental illness in his family?

First off you should have provided his age, because just as women go through that change of life period,so do men and in some cases with men their mood swings are worse than a woman's.The deductions to the changes in a man are very simplistic since men won't usually go any further than what they hear from friends & aquaintances..Yes he could be having an affair, which will indeed bring on a change in attitude and also in appearance.Or it could be a personal problem that may require a DR's attention and he is embarrassed to mention it to you,so that would also cause his attitude to change. The affair issue is a biggy, but also highly likely in so many cases since a man who has been married for a number of years feels that the attention his wife once gave him is no longer there and if another female shows any interest at all in him then of course he will look in her direction because he is craving the attention of a female..Bad attitude or good attitude you need to approach him in a way that does not sound like you are accusing him of anything but yet you would just like to find out what is going on so you can be there for him. There is a book called 'If Men Could Talk' and you can find it on Amazon.com,it really is worth reading and will open your eyes to why men do alot of things and yet say very little.
Good luck and I hope everything works out for you & your husband..

A little more info would be helpful. What about his personality has changed? As a wild guess, he's cheating.

Could be any number of reasons. Age, cheating, money, etc. I would try to confront him and ask what is bothering him, or seek counseling.
