freddy, because which of the others would you be terrified of when both awake and asleep? that was the genious of freddy, because you *might* be able to escape the others, but everyone's gotta' go to sleep sometime.
besides, how could you not love a villain with a sense of humor like freddy? or someone who says the line, "how sweet--fresh meat!"? :)
