I was having a conversation with someone today and we was talking about people from the West Indies, When Jamaica came up, she was saying that she wanted to go to Jamaica but she didnt want to go to the tourist part, she wanted to go party where Beenie Man and the rest of the reggae artist be, but she was scared because she didnt want to get beaten up, then she said she is intimidated by Jamaicans when she sees them, especially Jamaican females. Who else feels this way?

People are intimidated by any other that is different.
If I went to mass with fluorescent green hair it would intimidate people.
If I stood on the street and just kept laughing people would be intimidated.
Sure in many places you would intimidate me as well.
Come to think about it we are all intimidating others from time to time.

I spent a weeks vacation there, and although some were nice a great deal of them spent our time trying to hustle us out of money.
There were alot of scams like showing you a bracelet and tying it to your wrist to see "how it will look" but them demanding money since you now owned it, or the favorite Big hello, what's your name and while you talked to the nice one his pal is frantically etching your name in some piece of crap that they now tell you you ordered and must buy. I dropped a camera cover (it looked like a wallet) and a guy scooped it up and ran. (I bet he was mad it wasn't a wallet!)
In general i'm sure there's alot of nice people there, but the general poverty of the island and the rudeness of some of them gives the general impression that they can't be trusted.
Too bad. I loved the banana drinks!
