Because the people that design warning labels have a few screws loose.

Like this label for instance;
On a bottle of children's cough syrup:
DO NOT OPERATE HEAVY MACHINERY WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF THIS MEDICATION

I think that in general we try to keep children under 12 away from heavy machinery anyway lol.

They are required to by law. Just like the jar of peanut butter says "may contain nuts or nut product", a person could try and sew if they took some sleeping pills,and then got a dui, because they could say "there was no lable". I know, it's stupid, but that's how the world is sometimes.

For the same reason McDonald's coffee has a Caution Hot! warning...Because people are stupid and need to be saved from themselves.

Because people are dumb... and when dumbness attacks, their friends are smart enough to tell their dumb friends to sue companies. So, to avoid getting sued, companies put warnings for everything nowadays. If you ever want to see a funny one, check out the warnings on curling irons.
