Its not that we lost the wars after ww2, if you look we won every battle and had more casualties on the enemies side then ours. Its the political part of it that causes us to "Lose". I think that we would view it differently because in vietnam Guerilla warfare came into play to where the enemy isnt in uniforms but blended into the civilian population which makes them that more difficult to fight.
