This isn't a friendship. It's been a Stabship. Don't run away from her. Just go to her and tell her that you have cared about her, but since she has done ____ things (fill in the blanks), you will not be able to continue a friendship with her. Tell her you hope she will consider her errors and path she is heading down is not only destructive to herself, but to your character as well (because it is). And then, you do this: you just let it go.

Not all of lifes friendships and relationships have happy endings...and that is o.k.

Since you have made a long way with her, why don't you confront her of your problems?
Even if you end this relationship, you still gonna have a bad impression on her.
It's better for you to get things clear.
However, you decided to end this relationship, you can;
1. Reply her text msg after a few days.
2. Don't start any conversation with her.
3. Ignorance is the key. But don't make it to obvious.

thats exactly what I'm trying to figure out... this one girl has been making my life hell since I met her and I just realized it now, years later. she's also been manipulating her other friends and she has them wrapped around her little finger and clueless. it seems like i'm the only one who has "woken up" per se.

anyhow, if she is a backstabber/secretive like my friend we're talking about.. its going to be hard to ditch her without causing drama. I'm assuming you two were good friends and she/he gained ur trust and you told her/him a bunch of things about yourself, secrets included. I'm also assuming most of what she/he told you about him/herself is a bunch of lies. But thats all assuming if ur friend is like my friend.

I think the safest way to do things with these type of people is just to flat out stop talking to them, little by little.. so they don't really realize whats going on and they don't throw any temper tantrums. and spread rumors or cause anymore problems.

Don't answer the phone, don't answer any IM's, and if you do by accident or you meet him/her somewhere public and they ask whats up... just tell them you have a bunch of stuff going on right now, and that you need space/time alone or whatever. Make up fake appointments/family issues or whatnot (just make sure they don't find out). It may be wrong and it may be the coward's way out in some people's opinion, but it seems much safer than setting off a vicious ticking time bomb that is that kind of friend.

think about it.. you've dealt with this person that long enough, you've seen what happens when things go bad, you don't want anymore of it... and you don't have to handle any abuse/stress anymore. if that person were to find out that you were trying to ditch them, she would more than likely cause chaos and ruin other people's relationships with you or spread nasty rumors around town.

Don't ditch her. Confront her, Tell her She's not playing very nice in the sand box.

Confront her about what she has said about you.What ever excuses she comes up with, listen and then tell her that you and she are no longer friends. Get angry if you feel that way, she has lost your trust. Good riddance, I say!

You dont have to ditch her, just become distant from her to protect yourself from the kind of person she has become.

how odd that she should start to be like that now. just drop her I would guess., if she is doing some thing that is not right by you it shouldn't be a big deal to let her go
