Not racism as such, but stereotyping...yes. The brain picks up REALLY quickly on negative stereotypes. If you just HEAR a negative stereotype ONCE (as opposed to actually witnessing an example), a schema is activated that categorizes all X as y. This schema, in turn, affects one's perceptions and memory of events. You will literally notice more things that support the stereotype, and ignore more things that don't. And of those things that you did manage to notice, you'll only REMEMBER later those things that support the stereotype. That's two different steps where information is getting filtered out. If you think about it, while evolving, that could serve to protect people; have them err on the side of caution.
In today's world, though, we know we don't need that anymore. With vigilant conscious thought, you can overcome programmed racism.

Racism is taught. You know this fact. It isn't something genetic. It's learned behavior. Children are open and accepting of others unless they are taught differently. I'm sure you have seen pictures or documentaries of KKK gatherings with babies and small children in sheets and dunce caps. They don't have a clue as to what's going on! By the time they are 5 and 6 and having been exposed to this bigotry they began to act out. I went to the landlords house one day to pay my rent and their 5 year old grandson just happened to be visiting and he came to the door in response to my knock and yelled out there's a n** at the door. Just like that. He wasn't being hateful he was simply repeating what he'd heard. There was no malice in his voice and his face was calm. A child. An innocent. And I felt sorry for him.

Nope...definately not...children don't exhibit any racist attitudes at all...racism is a learned thing ...to do with power and control...mostly european colonial in origin. I have searched for many years now to find the origins of racism and all my result point to europe as the initiater of these attitudes...after all , you cannot condone slavery and christian principles at the same time unless you are able to see non white people at nothuman..Magna Carta set human rights haahaa

Racism is not instictive, that is, hating another. -But pride in ones self is instictive and is not racist at all.
True Racism does exist, but being called a racist is also just par for the course for anyone who wins an argument with a liberal.
Every liberal, commie in the world has a hissy-fit if a white male has any pride at all. -But, they'll play Snoop Dogg all night and feel "hip."
The fact is people are different. Whether this matters at all may be debated, but to say countries founded by white folks have different customs than countries founded by black folks would be a true statement.
Can some blacks appreciate white culture? Yes. Can some whites appreciate black culture? Yes -But the fact remains; even after mandatory desegregation blacks and whites CHOOSE to live among their own. Milwaukee is a great example of voluntary segregation.
Can blacks and whites live together with one culture? Yes, to a limited extent. I say "limited" because NEVER in any society, in any country, in the history of Earth have blacks and whites shared a peaceful, successful existence. Name one?
Many crime, disease and SAT statistics can be sighted to show the difference between races.
American Nationalism is merely recognition of American culture and its origins.
Liberals are greatly hypocritical when they howl about the nationalism of Americans, while staying completely silent about the nationalism of South Africa or the Congo where whites are being hacked to death with machetes.
This shows a clear traitor-mentality. The fact is blacks have pride, whites have pride and so do Hispanics. We are ALL different. All minorities have their home countries, but everyone howls racism if anyone mentions a homeland for whites.
We have the ability to accept another’s culture, but only at the expense of our own.
Racism is about hate, not pride in ones self. Having pride in your race is honorable. Liberals will never get this.
Liberals think black-power is cool and white-power is evil, this shows their hypocrisy. When directly CONFRONTED about this hypocrisy they will back off. -But they will never, ever defend a white, male for having pride in his race regardless of how he feels about other races.
When black athletes gave the "black-power" symbol in Mexico City during the Olympics it raised no objections by ANY liberals.
This is their idea of being "politically-correct." A white doing the same would be "racism."
American Nationalism is about American culture.

I know that it's human instinct to think that you are the best, and your way is the right way. But we're not neanderthals (anymore) and not everyone is racist.

No. That would imply that you are born racist. You learn to be racist, it's not genetic.
