you need 2 diff size hoses. 3/4 and 5/8 you may have this hook-up. 1 line from intake manifold. 1 line from water pump. purchase a radiator plug to block off water line at radiator.

There are always a difference in sizes for any GM heater systems. The return line of the "cold" side is the 3/4" hose and either attaches to the water pump or the rad. The 5/8" hose is the "hot" hose or the inlet to the heater core and attaches usually to the intake manifold at either the front or the back. As a hint, cut your hoses longer so as not to stress anything which can cause you to damage the core pipes. Also cut the hoses off to avoid twisting these same copper pipes. Good luck.

You should be able to tell by the length of the hose, unless you put on new hoses. The hoses coming out of the firewall should be over and under. The top hose[over]goes to the intake, the bottom hose[under]goes to the radiator.Good luck

WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE? THE HEATER HOSES OFF OF THE ENGINE AND RADIATOR ARE ONLY THERE TO FILL AND CIRCULATE WATER THROUGH ANOTHER SMALL RADIATOR UNDER YOUR DASH BOARD. THIS ALLOWS HOT WATER TO FLOW THROUGH A SERIES OF TUBES, DIRECTION DOES NOT MATTER, AND WHEN THE WATER INSIDE GETS HOT THE FAN BLOWS THE HOT AIR THROUGH THE RADIATOR TO BLOW IT INTO THE CAB AREA OF YOUR TRUCK. JUST LIKE THE BIG RADIATOR IN FRONT. IT SUCKS COOL AIR THROUGH THE RADIATOR WHILE THE HOT WATER IS PASSING THROUGH TO COOL IT DOWN. ONE WAY OR THE OTHER IT IS GOING TO WORK.

Top should be intake bottom should be radiator. if that dont work, turn them around, and all you did was flush out the heater core, thats no problem, thats sometimes a fix to clogged heater cores.
