Hurricane Ivan. I drove 7 hours from Dothan, AL (a job assignment) back to New Orleans to get my son. Slept 4 hours, then drove 7 hours to Atlanta to stay with relatives. Ivan missed New Orleans, and slammed up through Alabama into Atlanta where we lost power for 4 days. I later found out the bridge I drove over in Mobile, AL to get back to NO from Dothan, was the one destroyed less than 12 hours later. Whewwwww!

I was in an extreme dust storm in Arizona - we saw it coming and put wet towels and sheets over the doors and windows and such and when it hit it blew the tiles off the roof. It was followed by a downpour which proceeded to fill the house with water and the dust turned to mud.

I live in Kansas. I went through a tornado quite a few years ago. It was super scary. It destroyed our home, but luckily we weren't home at the time.
