Yes, my bet is you do indeed have an infection. What you need to do is get some rubbing alcohol and some cotton balls and soak that puppy good. Get twisting the earring around a bit too, at least three times a day. Once the swelling and sensitivity start improving, take the earring out briefly and soak the earring the alcohol while you clean it again, perhaps with a q-tip as much as possible. It should clear up then. If it doesn't after all this, take the earring out and try again another time. Let it heal.

Sounds like an infection to me. I would start putting alcohol on the ear on a regular basis (like several times a day); keep twisting the stud each day so that it stays free. The alcohol will help kill the bacteria that have gotten introduced into the wound.

If you had them pierced with the gun, your earring back may be too tight.Take them off and when you put them back in just put as far as the first little notch. You will hear or feel it click.I had mine done the second time with the gun and the lady that done it worked with me and told me to keep checking for the earring to become too tight. You will take longer for the side you sleep on to heal. Thanks for 2.

purely save cleansing the returned with the ear piercing answer or rubbing alcohol, that's what I did, too, because of the fact my ears harm to curve the earring additionally. once I wiped sparkling it I have been given some yucky crap out and now it would not harm in any respect. wish this facilitates =)

Take some Peroxide and keep putting it on there for the soreness, but put a little Vaseline on it, it will help loosen it so that you can turn it.
