It depends,the first impression can be the last only if you dont get to meet the person again.Yes, but once you meet the person again,its really not manditory that your first impression about him will be the last.Cause I guess,No person is that precise in judging tendencies and characteristics of various human beings.

Unfortunately, first impressions do last. The only problem is that you can't trust them. People always put on their happy mask to "make a good first impression," so you never get a true idea of what someone's like. So, I do believe it exists, but I don't agree with it at all. This is why people always surprise you, because they're usually not the same person you first met. Take some roommates, at first they might seem great but some of them have the bad habit of transforming into real jerks when you're not looking.

First impression should be the best impression, and half the battle is won by a good first impression. But it is not the 'last'. Of course, you have only 50% chance left to work with and change the impression.

I do think first impressions last. If you want to change them you must work real hard for a long time.
