I overheard one of those entertainment gossip shows tonight that mentioned his leaving. Supposedly in the show he left on a four week sabbatical at the end of last week's show, but apparently will return. I hadn't heard anything about what was going on in his personal life right now. I know last season he had health issues, but has looked fitter than ever this season so I don't know if there's been a reoccurrence of something or what. I forgot to look at the show's credits to see if he was still being listed as a producer.
I certainly hope he comes back. I couldn't stand the guy who replaced him even though his method of solving forensic problems was different than that of Grissom. They should have put him on the autopsy table and given him a personality transplant.
Have the ratings been low lately? Is this their way of increasing interest--to lure us back with a promise that the old CSI will return? I don't know my way around websites-especially since I don't watch much tv or many movies--to know how to find out what's really going on, but I'm going to try before I log off tonight.

I know that last year there were issues with Jorga Fox and George Eads (something to do with their contracts). I did hear that William Petersen is going to do some broadway plays. According to the program - he's gone for a couple of months, for some type of teaching thing, and then returning. I sure hope he returns because it just won't be CSI without him.

No - he's taking a leave to perform in a play (I think in Chicago, where he has a theater group). I have a hunch you'll see him back for sweeps week :-)
