I am trying to quit cigarette smoking and bought a tobacco pipe. It is a Lao Ban. Has anyone heard of this brand?

Smoking a pipe is actually pretty cool and readily replaces cigarettes. I am not familiar with the one you mentioned, but I suspect you will collect quite a few pipes over the years. I sure did.

If your pipe has a filter, replace the filter often. Also, use pipe cleaners a lot - otherwise you will occasionally suck a glob of concentrated tar and nicotine down your throat and that is NASTY !!

Corncob pipes are cheap and when they soak thru [spit and tar and nicotine], just throw them away. They are a very smooth smoke.

I had to quit about 18 years ago because the heat from the pipe was causing problems with my jawbone and gums - so be forewarned. Now, I smoke about twice a year and it is okay.

My favorite tobacco was vanilla Cavendish - it smells good too, and wasn't all that expensive. I still have my favorite three or 4.

Nope, But I Use To Smoke Fags. As Far As i Know In The Long Run A Pipe Is Cheaper. As You ONLY Have To By The Tabacco Asaposed To Having To Buy The Rollies or The Proper ***. When You First Start it Will Be More Expensive As You Will Need To Buy A Pipe. You May Also Have A Higher Craving, As As Far As I Know They have Less Nicatine In Them Hope This Helps x

No. If it's made of Meerschaum, though, you're in a GOOD starting phase. Careful, though. I started smoking a pipe whenever I ran out of cigarettes, and it caused my tongue to bleed from being too dry.
