Start answering the question from your inner self and then check the same question towards others ...

Means, check yourself whether you have anything wrong or against or negligence about those people, which is reflecting back on you in the form of ignorance. Remember that every one needs progress and they will be wanting this always. Internally they will be inclined towards those people whom they feel their progress is possible or they will incline towards those people whose thoughts match with them or with those people who can give love, affection, sustenance ....

If this is lacking in us then, others too will not care for us ...

These are situations and feelings which makes us to think about the changes to be brought inside us ...

After self checking, then check others ... there is a possibility that others are wrong and they are in search of bad which is not inside you ... then you also don't bother much about them ..

make your heart pure and powerful and look towards God ... then the whole world will be with you (its my practical experience)

hmm. could be that they may feel they are under achievers, and that you might not want to associate with them.

or...tis true they could be jealous, but again, that's about them, and not about you.

as long as your attitude is properly aligned with your accomplishment/s, then i wouldn't worry about those who stoop to ignoring and avoiding eye contact.

you could try going up to them and engaging in conversation; sometimes, things aren't what they seem, and people are shy or scared.

if you keep your self worth internal and not base it on external accomplishments, that's all that really matters.

Often we over-interpret others' actions. They probably don't mean anything by it, and if you get their attention and say hi, they'll probably say hi back. Don't be dependent on others for praise or approval, and you'll feel much better.

They just don't approve your accomplishment and they don't acknowledge you.

They do not care. They are unimpressed. You would do better to show interest in others.
