can someone please tell me if adobe photoshop css will help me create and my own icons that i can post on any website? and how do i get started? the tutorials really dont help me much..someone please help me!

You can Make a picture with Photoshop then import it with an Icon maker

No, Photoshop does not do that. You can, however, create initial graphics with PS but it will have to be converted into a special icon format. Do search on "icon generator" or "icon converter" - there are free programs available on the web.

If you are serious about this whole thing you should invest in some serious software. Personally, i use the macromedia suite which includes flash (im sure you're familiar). you can do anything you want with this program banners dropdowns movies buttons icons..anything you can think of. it runs for about 1000-1500 us but is well worth it. as you dont have to deal with legal issues involving icons you're trying to get a hold of.
you can also download a demo version off the macromedia website.
