i had a severe cold when i was about 5 months pregnant. i went out and bought the tylenol cold daytime/nighttime pack. it worked great for me. i was able to sleep and do what i needed to do during the day. try it, it may be of some help to you. tylenol is safe to take during pregnancy unlike aspirin that can thin your blood.

For tonight, take whatever medication your doc approved for you (when I was pregnant, I was given a list by my midwife of medications that were ok to use and I assume most practicioners do this). Use a sudafed shower vapor to help relieve congestion, or a humidifier with vicks in the medicament well (or just put it on your chest). Lots of fluids. Call your doc in the morning and see what they want you to do. Feel better and congrats!

Ten days should be long enough to recover. Stay in bed and get rest. You may have symptoms still but these are lingering from your own immune system which makes most of the symptoms anyway during the fight.

I dont know why your doctor hasnt prescribed anything to you knowing your having a ceserean. I'd talk to him. Infections are not to be dealt with lightly during pregnancy, and although they will not prescribe anything harmful, I have heard of pregnant antibiotics. Ask your doctor for that option.

i think of you have got a flu malicious program (the coughing and sneezing, the sweating, the issues, the blocked ears). regrettably, because of the fact you're additionally pregnant, you're constrained on the medicine you could take, because of the fact of what it may additionally do to your fetus. in case you went to the wellbeing facility for "itchy ft", that tells me you're prepared to circulate to a doctor approximately what ails you. (For itchy ft, i might attempt an otc MEDICATED FOOT POWDER, or a heat foot soak with baking soda- makes them experience silky mushy-i does not circulate to the wellbeing facility for that). yet besides, what you're thinking "a chilly" sounds lots worse than a chilly. First possibility you get: call YOUR wellbeing practitioner ! Ask in the event that they are in a position to extra healthful you in mind-blowing away. the faster you experience (extra generic) the extra advantageous for the two you and your toddler.

I used Benedryl during my pregnancy for allergies but it's always best to check with the doctor. Or you can go the good ol' fashioned route of plenty of rest, water, o.j., and chicken soup.

My doc said I could use Robitussin or Theraflu while pregnant. The Robitussin Severe Congestion gelcaps are the best, if you can find them. Theraflu upset my stomach, but it did work well.
