It's flashing the "Do Not Disconnect" sign, and when I try to "safely remove" the device, my computer tells me I can't. It isn't updating.
I've tried ejecting it with the buttom next to its name on iTunes. It didn't work.

This is a shot in the dark, but try opening my computer and finding the drive there, and right clicking and ejecting it that way.

Have you also tried restarting your computer?

Do NOT just disconnect it. I did this once when it wouldn't and lost EVERY one of my songs, and the iPod wasn't updating... so I would definitely NOT do that.

Good luck!

hmmm.... just disconnect it. thats the only way. nothing will go bad, i did that once and nothing went bad, unless your are updating then yes, something will go bad. just try it again, and if it doesn't work, then disconnect it.
