I HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR ALMOST 14 YEARS AND DURING THIS TIME I HAVE PUSHED MY HUSBAND AWAY ALOT DUE TO FEAR NOW HE HAS FILED FOR DIVORCE AND SAYS HE DOESN'T KNOW IF HE CAN TRUST ME NOT TO PUSH HIM AWAY ANY MORE. i LOVE HIM SO MUCH AND REALLY WANT TO LET HIM KNOW THAT AND TO SHOW HIM HE IS NEEDED AND WANTED DOES ANY ONE HAVE AND IDEAS ESPECIALLY SENCE HE IS IN IRAQ AND I AM IN THE STATES. DESPERATE TO SAVE MY MARRIAGE.

I agree with xx that you are just afraid to be alone. It's not fair for him, you know? Let him go now because you pushed him away not once or twice but so many times. He was hurting and now he wants to have his peace. Get separated for a while and see what happens, don't force him to stay.

I am really sorry that I am not sure what to say anything that could help with what to do while he is away except to try everything to prove your willingness to change.

Open up your heart honey. You push him away because you are afraid of getting hurt, and you want him to have to constantly prove himself to you. WELL it is your turn to prove yourself to him, and open yourself up totally and completely to him. You sound like you need counseling as a couple instead of a divorce, and you need to learn to overcome your fear of losing, because all you will ever do IS LOSE if you continue to push people away.

Well you have pushed him away. But now you want to keep him. So do you really want to keep him? or are you afraid to be alone?
so what you need to do is decide what you really want. If you want to keep your man. you need to get on your knees and ask God for your man back. Then I would get to talking to your husband, Tell him I am sorry I made a mistake I am willing to work at this marriage if you are willing to work at it. Then if he agrees you need to get counseling to make your marriage work.

You're not desperate to save your marriage. You're desperate to keep him around trying to get through to you. It sounds rough but it's probably true. There's a reason you kept him at arms length; let him go and find someone you can love completely.

send him letters, send him packages, pictures, everything you can do to prove you love him, if after you try your best and he still divorces you, at least you tried your best.
have you considered the fact that he may have met some barracks wh*re over there? and maybe he's just bored and tired of 8 years with you? not to be so blunt, but it happens alot.

ask him for one last chance, when he gets home get into councilling, find out why the heck you'd ever want to push him away? you are supposed to be each others other half,

tell him how you feel before its too late. don't let him slip out of your hands. if you love him, then show him and let him know. and if you need him that much, he's a keeper.
