I'm the coxin on the all boys rowing team @ my college. I'm a freshmen girl and I adore my sport with a passion and I love the guys on my team like brothers. After I have been with them for such a long time they treat me like another boy, and they give me a harder time because i'm the only girl. In the past I have kissed 2 boys when I wasn't on the team.I hear about it about everyday and I havn't kissed anyone in about 4 months. they also runion any time a guy approches me and scare them off

They will lock me out fo the ergg room in the cold for about 10 mins cause they think it's funny I don'tknwo the code. They burst in my room at 3 in the morning drunk and wake me and my hallway up

If they don't treat me with more respect when we get back on the water in spring things won't go as smoothly

recently the onther coxin said they said they don't want to be in my boat as a joke but that comment hurts me

How do I get respect on my team back and treated like a sister over a brother

You are the "little sister" with a whole load of brothers. It's going to be a tough row ... no pun intended. I would push them hard physically, get on their butts, drive them hard in practice.

Tell them if they put as much effort in rowing as they do screwing around with you, they would be champions. Give them a load of shyt.

Don't hang out with them. Get the code so they don't pull that crap anymore. Tell them straight out when you don't think something is funny and don't let them laugh it off.

I used to be in tech crew and hiking when I was the only girl. So my heart really goes out for you. They were mean too but since I tried to do everything at my best and acted more like a girl, they got much smoother on me. It seems better to be acting like a girl sometimes. Act and show them sometimes that you are a girl. Make them feel more special about you. More than just a sister to brother. And try not to get hurt by what they say. They are quite harsh sometimes thinking as a joke. When you hear something not pleasant, you in reverse should do the same in a jocking way. Also, work real hard to show yourself before the coach or someone in charge of it. They won't be able to do real bad to you if you earn coach's heart. Wish you the best, and You can do it!!!
