Actually this is the exact method Republicans use to prevent black people from voting.
They put up notices saying that they must vote on a day other than the actual election day.

Election Day in the United States is the day when polls most often open for the election of certain public officials. Election Day occurs on the Tuesday following the first Monday of November every year, which is always the Tuesday between November 2 and November 8, inclusively. The next Election Day will fall on November 6, 2007.
but if your going to vote republican just do the world a favor ...don't show up
this is why i say republicans are ignorant they dont even know what they are talking about half the time.......... drones......."yes mr. bush......i will do whatever you say mr. bush...... you are my leader mr.bush"

there is no such thing!it doesnt matter if you are red, blue or green.dont fall into the he said she said crap that the media puts out there all the time.not everything in the news is the truth!as to some of the other answers left above, you people are just flat out morons.a person asked a question about something they heard and you toss in your political side of view.vote your way and leave it at that, instead of forcing your view like you know it all which judging by some of these answers you all go for which side the mainstream media goes!

properly, i have were given a mixed celebration line happening in balloting, Republican Governor, Democratic Senator, only balloting for those that are ideal for the job. so some distance because the Bin weighted down "scare" a reminder of what he's extra useful than an invite to be concentrated visitor speaker on the democratic convention. Can see the demos. now "on the prompt we've a concentrated visitor speaker who understand oppression and hates the Republicans as a lot as we do. Please welcome Osama Bin weighted down, a liberal scuffling with the evil forces of the Republicans like we do" and that all of them stand and cheer even as throwing confetti.

Er, you're a little late. Election day was the 7th. Anyone claiming it was the 8th was trying to depress GOP turnout, not that they needed to.
