We cannot call any human a chimp without being racist.
Steve, how does perpetuating the victimization of a group of people make them equal?
Equality means everyone plays by the same rules. Liberals want to give certain people a golfer's handicap and then call conservatives racist.
Obviously I am not advocating for name-calling. I am advocating against it for everyone. Whatever happened to "Two wrongs don't make a right?"

It always kind of strikes me as funny when white people complain about "reverse racism" Deal with it. Do you real get offended on a racial level when Bush gets called a chimp? Probably not. You do realize black people are still discriminated against. Maybe not on the level that they were say even 10 years ago but they still are. You think that calling Bush a chimp is anywhere near the level of Racism that Black people have put up with even to this day. Maybe white people need to feel a little discriminated against sometimes so they know how it feels. Then we can finally truly cure this scourge called racism, and not just pay it the i'm not racist I have black friends lip service that I hear so much.

this is a good question and I am almost afraid to continue. but I will. if I offend anyone ,I will apologize now. I had a man tell me once he was a animal control engineer,,my facial expression let him know I was confused ,he was a dog catcher In this PC world we are in, you can not call a spade--a spade The black people have used this racial guise to the fullest and any thing they don't like, they call racial, and society starts jumping. Go back 100 years and look at what the black people had to contend with then and look at things today. Go back 40. The biggest part of the black folks I knew then would laugh at some of the stunts being pulled now. Racism has gone full circle. The most recent example I know is the gal at duke,,and the NAACP coming to her rescue,,because this is racial.. after all that has happened who is the racist in this deal,,where is the NAACP now,,I haven't heard from them in a while on the duke thing

Because no one assumes a racial slur from the word chimp when applied to a caucasian. In Bush's case, people use it in the context of being less than intelligent - a rung lower if you will, on the evolutionary brain pan ladder. If a black person were called a chimp, it could be construed in either context - a known racial slur or a slam against his/her intelligence. Just from experiencing the racists in the YA arena alone, it's easy to see how they would take it - and run with it in that vein, chortling like idiots the whole time. Call it political correctness if you will, but that is the reason why.

There is so much name calling on this site we could create a new dictionary for it all!! I wouldn't call either a chimp and you are right, it would be considered racist which is actually racist in itself putting emphasis on Obama's color.

People can Bush a chimp because that's where his intelligence level lies. It has nothing to do with race.
Obama is a black man. And calling black men other primate names has been a way to degrade them since the days of American slavery.

Because President Bush is a republican and he can be called names by the left because they feel that it is their "duty" to speak out. But in all actuality it boils down to being the typical double standard that we can not participate in because we would be considered a racist and a bigot.

I think it takes a PHD in stupidity to go to name calling and it's only racists if the shoe fits . A black slur against a white man should probably count as well just on far the fetched principle of
guilt by association and reference. If you ask me the world is insane and we all need to grow skin in dealing with children that never seem to grow up into mature adults.
