JKidd has filed for divorce from his wife, and it's getting a lot of media attention because he alleges she's abusive, controlling and spied on him, even using their little boy to sneak into the Nets locker room to steal his cell phone.
If the Nets are looking to trade Kidd, it's not because of the divorce, but because it's time the Nets start to rebuild. They already have a capable player in line to replace him in rookie Marcus Williams, he's getting up there in age and has a cap-busting contract. Also, with a lot of injuries to their front court, they're in desperate need of quality bigs, and would want to bring in some younger, more athletic players, which they can get in a Kidd trade.
As for what team they trade him to, I doubt they want to trade him within the Eastern Conference,. In the West, teams like the Kings and Clippers would get a huge boost by adding him. If they trade within the East, Boston and Indiana both need a all-star point guard like him.

They may trade him but they are not a bad team and it would be a stupid mistake. If they do trade him, I heard Miami, Minnesota, NY Knicks, and a few other teams would like to have him.
