how can you say its ok to kill an innocent child but not ok to put to death a child rapist, killer, or mass murderer. shouldnt it be the other way around?

Why is it that the fascists are pro-life when an unwanted child is conceived and still in the cell form, but don't mind sending that child around the globe to die in some distant land when he/she turns 18, so that the Reich's members can get better returns on inflated oil costs?

well, im sure you are conservative, so i don't wish to antagonize you. But a tiny group of splitting cells cannot feel emotions, pain, or any thoughts, as it does not have a developed nervous system. Why are conservatives pro-hunting animals, who can feel pain although perhaps not complex thought, but against aborting unfeeling, microscopic cells? Killing an innocent child is evil, and liberals are not deranged baby murderers. I don't speak for all liberals, but I don't believe that the death penalty does anything beneficial: the "child rapist" in question feels no pain or suffering when they die. And the legal system is not so perfect that there are no mistakes. There are hundreds of wrongly accused people every year. So yes, it is fair that a child rapist could die. But wouldn't it be worse for them to have to live with themselves and the thought of what they did in a dark prison cell?

I don't know how you make such sweeping generalizations, but THIS person has no problem with the death penalty, and abortion is not a good thing
HOWEVER
I have serious issues with this cartoon administration that thinks some fantasy like "abstinence" is going to reduce our teen pregnancy rate.
If Bush and his Secretary of Education were really smart, they'd make contraception available to teens and:
1) Seriously reduce the HIGHEST teen pregnancy rate on the planet,
2) Likely make a significant reduction in STDs, and
3) Likely make a significant reduction in teen abortions.

If you really want a dialogue about these two subjects, it is a mistake to start with an assumption about people you label as liberals.
I also think that you need to learn the facts about the death penalty. Please keep in mind that many people who oppose it are not liberals. Many who oppose it do so for practical reasons.
You should decide if you want to exchange views or label other people instead.

First of all, a fetus is NOT a child by anyones definition except your ilk!
I don't favor abortion or capital punishment! I favor that I don't have the right to make a decision for someone else that will effect them all of their lives, and then get to hear you ***** and moan about people on welfare!
Wasn't it your ilk that removed birth control from being passed out in school? Aren't you the ones that don't want to teach kids sex education? "Just say no"! Yea right.
You are more responsible for the abortion rate than anyone else in America!
Most people are executed for "crimes of passion" and they have the lowest recidivism of any other crime! I don't have an issue executing a psychopath mass murderer, but that is it! I don't believe in state sanctioned murder!
So, please rethink what you think we think!

All liberals are not pro abortion(trust me) and the other mentioned criminals can be put to death in some states if the crimes commited meet death penalty criteria.

Gee, that's like asking why conservatives are pro-ignorance? You obviously don't care about a legitimate answer but here is a short synopsis. No respectable "liberal" is pro-abortion, but pro-choice which means keeping the government out of woman's vagina because we believe individuals should have control of their own bodies not the government and certainly not religious hacks. Its called a woman's right to self-determination, which is a basic human right.
