we do have a two tier society in this country if your White and say something none complementary to a black or Asian, you are racism, if you are black or Asian, you can slag off a white person then nothing is done. Big Brother confirms what I'm saying, no one is criticising Shilpa, because of her remarks to Jade, but there is an outcry against Jade for her remarks.
If this two tier system is allowed to carry on, then we will become 2nd class citizens in our own country. What i am saying is not racist, it to do with Government policy's and the P.C brigade who are imposing their thought onto the ordinary white/British individual. So Freedom of speech is being eroded away, and before too long we will end up like a lot of these countries these people left in the first place. i.e Police state dictatorship and the government sponsored murder. And i chose my words very carefully too, so as not to be classed as racist..

The whole big brother racism thing is stupid in my opinion. Germaine calling Jade "white trash" hasn't been brought up as a racist term. If she called him "black trash" then that would be seen as very racist.
When Danielle told Shilpa to "fcuk off back home" (which does sound racists until you know the conversation beforehand) - it was because Shilpa had said that all English people were stupid & something along the lines if her not liking this country because of it.
I am sick of brown/black people playing the racism card as & when it suits them when any comments againts white/british etc people are widely accepted & ignored.
Danielle asking if "is it Indian people who eat with their hands, or is it Chinese" is not a racist comment - it's a bit ignorant but yes traditionally Indian people DO eat with thier hands. It was a normal question that the media have turned into some big racist statement. Every Indian household I have had a meal in have eaten without forks & knives, but instead with bread to *scoop* up what your eating. There is nothing wrong with that (I prefer it actually) & her asking that was just a genuine question, not a racist snidey remark towards Shilpa.
Even Shipla herself said she didn't feel like anyone was being racist.
Thw whole thing has been blown out of proportion & it's just not on. If anything, the media etc should be looking into *their* reaction to such non-racist comments, which in my opinion is worse.
Oh, as a final note, that Narinda (from a previous BB) is doing my head in as she has been on several news programmes saying that she thinks that the people in the house are being racist. All she wants is some more limelight as she quietly dissapeared after she left BB & she is trying to put herself "up there" with Shilpa.

My partner is Asian (I'm white and have 4 beautiful children with him) yes I have noticed a difference. No I don't think people have freedom of speech. It is all wrong. And I think when something happens people just jump on the band waggon. And made to be a lot worse so it angers people.

THE SAME REASON WHY PEOPLE ASSUME ALL MEXICAN/
AMERICAN COME FROM MEXICO AND THEY SAY WHY DON'T YOU GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM. WELL
IT IS THE SAME THING, WE WERE BORN HERE IN THE USA.EVEN OUR PARENTS WERE BORN HERE IN THE USA.
JUST BECAUSE WE HAVE THE SAME SKIN COLOR DOESN'T MEAN A THING. BECAUSE THERE IS A LOT OF THINGS MANY OF THE ETHNICITY DOESN'T AGREE ON AND
WILL NEVER AGREE ON. THEREFORE WE WILL NEVER
HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH, ALTHOUGH THEY SAY IN
THE BOOK WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH THAT IS A
BUNCH OF CRAP. SO ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS GO WITH
THE FLOW AND DEAL WITH IT OR STAY AWAY FROM WHAT
EVER WE DISLIKE AND LIFE GOES ON.

Sorry to tell you, but there is nowhere in British law that says we have the right to free speech. This is not the US where it is enshrined in the constitution, we do not have a constitution or anything similar. It is an assumption to think we do.

No, only to a point do they conflict. There is harassment, disturbing the peace, and rejecting because of race. Thats when the police should get involved.

the first amendment to the constitution guarantees us freedom of speech, but it isn't absolute: you can't say the "F-Word" on TV, nor can you publicly lie about someone, thanks to slander and libel laws. freedom of speech was intended to keep the government from silencing those who speak criticism against it, and in this respect we do have freedom of speech.
