Only Opera and other few famous blacks are throwing their hats 100 percent for obama but others like Rev Jackson,Shelpton(spell) and other famous black politicans especiallyare not throwing in their hats yet but they have made public comments about him (positve) and yet they didn't discuse their supports for him. is there a public fight among black leaders and other black public figures about obama's qualification for the highest office in the country

In my opinion Obama is qualified to run for President of the US. But, consider his background (white American mother, Kenyan father, grew up mostly outside of the US). He does not have the same experiences as other African-Americans and therefore many feel that he does not really identify himself as having to have struggled with issues that concern African-Americans.

Not everyone who is black agrees with Mr Obama. A lot of black folks are waiting to find out what his platform is before they decide, which is both smart and prudent.

I'm taking a wait and see attitude.

Because he hasn't officially announced that he is running yet, only that he is setting up a committee to investigate the feasibility. A lot of people are waiting to see who else is running, just like famous caucasians are.

I think it a good question no matter how snappy others may be acting. If there is a camera around Jessy and Al(yes we are on a first name basis) are fighting over who can get there first. They are both clowns and Mr. Obama(note the respect) should do well to separate him self from them.
Besides...He's to white to enlist help from the NAACP

Well alot of people in this country we live in are not racist, and would not support a politician just because he was black. Are you insinuating they would? do? or should?

They probably don't agree with his stance on political issues.
