Staff will receive all incoming telephone calls. For personal telephone calls, we do not confirm or deny whether or not anyone is at the centre. We only take a message, we do not page you for personal telephone calls. Messages will be posted on the client message board and it is your responsibility to check the message board regularly.

A pager is an electronic device used to contact people via a paging network. It was used to get in touch with people mostly in the 80's before cell phones came to large use (Yes, there was such a time when people had no cell phones). So, it would probably mean that your company will not tell you on your pager for personal telephone calls. Possibly an outdated internal rule that was overlooked.

Paging is a way of getting a hold of you. It can be done by a phone call, and intercom, or a pager (a device that buzzes when you have a message. So what it is saying is they will not call you or try to reach you to let you know when you have received a call. You must check the message board.

"So and so, you have a phone call on line 2" is a page.

At Wal-Mart; "There is a red Toyota Tundra with license plate 000-000 in the pking lot with it's lights on" is a page.

They will not notify you of the fact you have a call. They will simply take a message.
