I'm currently with Sprint PCS and wanting to switch to any prepaid service since I don't use many minutes at all. I absolutely want to keep my old number. Is there any prepaid plan that allow porting from a regular plan? TIA

Porting your phone number from a cell phone plan to a prepaid shouldn't be a problem. All prepaid carriers are capable of porting your phone number with your permission. Just make sure that your contract with your regular cell phone plan is completed before you port your number, or else you will be charge a early termination fee.

Before you port your number to a prepaid plan carrier, do not call your regular cell phone plan and tell them that you are canceling your account. Your prepaid carrer will contact them and do the porting of your phone number and do the switching.
