What do you call a person or co-worker who tries to imply or create problems out of thin air for others?

For instance, starting rumors with co-workers, superiors, friends, neighbors, or whatever that a person is a drug addict, a pedophile, a criminal, a homosexual, or any nasty thing he or she can create out of their own imagination.

Anthropophobic or Sociophobic. someone who suffers from incredibly low self esteem therefore wishes to make themselves feel important and gain attention by causing crap for others, cos they're actually scared of them.....

I have worked with one just like that for 11 years now. I call her Medusa cause she has so many faces.The only one that's nice is the one that says i want something from you. Trust me .... what goes around comes around and you won't have to do a thing but it will happen.Don't waste your time and energy trying to put out the fires this person creates. Usually when someone is like that it's because they have low self esteem.They are attention seekers that need to be praised constantly to feel important and reassured.Unfortunately it's usually achieved by putting others down.The one I know plays the game quite well but all those fires she's started over the years are crawling up to burn her butt today and she did it all by herself. : )

they are called a sh-t stirrer. They just create problems and like drama and encourage it among others. The literally don't know how to just like people like they are and be a good co worker.

WOW!! I hate these. We have a few, some of which ARE homo, drug addict, et. al. They are Parasitic Anomalies. Who sue if they don't get their way.
