That was the name of a character from a book I just read, and at first I was pronouncing it like 'Rice' but there was another character named 'Bryce', and it would be silly if they rhymed, so I think maybe it's 'Reece' and it's a dumb question, really, but it's buggin me.

Help?

It is pronounced Reece. It is a welsh name. I am pregnant now and that is the name my husband and I chose for a boys name. We found out we are having a girl, but it is a nice name though.

Rhys is the proper spelling of the name Reece. Reece is the modern American way of spelling the name.
