Have you already spilled the beans? All it takes is one indiscreet person to start a rumor. Don't say a word about anything a friend tells you. Everything that a friend tells you should be treated as a confidence. Hair Stylists, Bar Tenders, Priests and Doctors are not the only ones who should and do keep their mouths shut. When you hear a rumor about someone don't repeat it. Your only comment should be to say that you don't believe rumors. If you know the person, the only thing you should say is that you know him or her personally and that it's not true--even if you know that it is. The little white social lie is made for this occasion. Being the subject of gossip is painful.

if only you could turn back time and not tell anyone what she had told you. keep your own mouth shut.

let it be in her hands whom she wants this news to be told to. you have no right to tell anyone even to her close friends.

then this news would not be spreading.
