Want to know if the 4-cylinder offered in these trucks is any good. I am going to use this truck for light duty, little towing, with mostly highway driving!

According to the Chevy website it is capable of towing up to 2,900LBS with the 4 cylinder 185HP, and 4,000LBS 242HP with the inline 5. So if you aren't going to haul or tow anything major you should be OK with the 4 cylinder. Fuel economy wise between both engines according to chevrolet 16city/23highway 4X4 with the 4 cylinder and 16/22 4X4 with the 5 cylinder. Allow about 2-3MPG more for the 2WD models.

I would personally go with the 5-cylinder if I were going to get a colorado. You get pretty much the same fuel economy, but more power and torque.
