If we are so intelligent, then why have we taken a pure and pristine earth and polluted it with chemicals and disease.
We have some very intelligent humans in this world, yes. They've created vaccines and treatments to save us from ourselves and our ills.
But I also admire the human who lives off the land, doesn't use chemicals to grow their food and protect it from bugs, and aims to live in harmony with nature.
I'm not a 'greeny', but on reflection, we humans have made some unintelligent decisions over the last centuries.
Who else thinks this way?
:) :)

No. Humans are not the only intelligent species in the world because if we are the only intelligent species, nothing would be xisting.Animals exist because of the way they think on how to addadt in the changing world.Man is said to be the most intelligent species because they can express themselve verbally, through their body gestures ,through their invention, and through their reasoning out.If you try to think of this that the only difference between human and the other species is that we can talk and the animals don't.If the animals are not intelligent, then why do they response whenever you call them like your pets in your house, why do the bears try to protect their youngs whenever their are invaders.Lower forms of animals are intelligent because they too can express their emotions.Do you think that they are not intelligent if they stauy in a side with their heads on the ground. We only say that we are the most intelligent speceis becase we can talk as what I've said. You don't even know what do the lower forms of animals think, may be if they can just talk, they may have better ideas....

Whats your definition of intelligent? If you mean thinking and reasoning, I believe there are many, many intelligent species in the universe.

There has not been any evidence of any other intelligence found in the universe. No non-natural radio emissions from other stars. The planets we have found around other stars seem to be rather large and gaseous, and not likely to support life (as we know it). Pictures we have of UFOs and aliens tend to be old and blurry. Not many new ones since the invention of auto-focus and digital cameras. Coincidence? I don't think so.

We may well be unique. Scary, isn't it?

Of course not, every living being has intelligence.

If you really mean to go as far as the infinite cosmos, you will find that any living being has intelligence.

You may not understand it but it will be there, as it is necessary for survival.

Good luck for you journey, it will probably take the rest of your life.
