Which magazine do you think is the BEST motorcycle magazine to subscribe to. Is it Cycle World or not?

Cycle World is ok. Depends on what type of bikes you like most.
Just go to the book store Barnes & Noble Books and pick up several or just read them their and put them back, you can take a note book and write all the good info. down and not buy'em.

Save your money, then buy all the gear you want. You only read a magazine once.

Heck you have the internet, you don't need any magazines. Just check out some of these links I have attached for you.

Cycle World is currently the world's leading bike publication. There is a reason for that. It is the best one for a motorcycle ENTHUSIAST. That means anyone who appreciates all years and all makes of motorcycle and all disciplines... Not just a cruiser guy, not just a sports-bike guy, not a dirt-rider... All those schools of riding have a dedicated monthly rag... I am a lifetime member of CW and I always will tell everyone that they are the best. A very good one is RACER X. That one covers all aspects of the race world, both dirt and street, again for the enthusiast only. Both magazines have the best quality photos and writers, and they are not choking on advertisements, either.

Not. My vote is for Motorcycle Cruiser.

First, the editor is a woman (Jamie Elvidge). Perhaps that doesn't matter to men, but it's nice for a woman to see another woman in a position of power. She's someone who has lived around bikes since she was a teen so she's well qualified for her position in that respect. And she's an actual female, not one of those creepy women who look like men or who want to be a man. She's just normal.

Second, the articles are fantastic. There's always something useful, and of course they review new bikes.

It has a sense of humor. If you look at the employee list or whatever it is, Art Friedman who is some type of editor is always given another title, such as Major Dork or Chief Bottlewasher. I always looked for that.

And they were kind enough to print my picture under Reader's Rides AND chose to print my response to a question that was asked.

Last but not least, they don't have cheesy ads - no women in bikinis posing in their heels on a bike. And they do review gear that's made for women too, which is certainly a plus.

Obviously this mag won't be of much use to you if you ride a sport bike, so I no longer subscribe. But I do miss it!

Another good one was Motorcycle Consumer News. They reviewed products and models, and also had riding tips and such.

This all depends on what style of motorcycling you are interested in. If you like tours and cruising, RoadRunner magazine is tops. Check it out at www.roadrunner.com. If you like sports bike riding, you have a good assortment of magazines to choose from. Almost all book stores like Borders, WaldenBooks, Books-a-Million have magazine sections with a good assortment. Try those out and see what you think.

If you like sport bikes Cycle World is your magazine. If you're into cruisers, like I am, this isn't the magazine for you.

When I owned my bike ( a cruiser) I preferred Cruiser magazine, because cycle world had to many sports bikes in there..My opinion.
